Introduction to Eagle Handling
Overview
Spend an afternoon meeting, handling and learning about some of nature’s most awe-inspiring predators with this Introduction to Eagle Handling experience.
You’ll get to handle four different species from Eagle Heights’ collection, and though it depends which birds are feeling best on the day you’ll get to meet species such as the Bataleur, Steppe and maybe even the Steller’s Sea Eagle – one of the biggest eagles in the world!
Make sure you bring along a camera to capture these amazing birds in action. This experience also includes entry to the rest of Eagle Heights Wildlife Park so you can meet the other animals and birds that live in the sanctuary. Learn something new this year and handle some fearsome hunters in the West Kent countryside.

Amazing afternoon
First time at Eagle heights for a few years and they're even better than before. Having done hawking experiences with them I thought the Eagle one would be the same, but nothing really prepares you for the sheer size and majesty of them. Regardless of preview experience I can highly recommend this event to anyone. Sophie, the falconer, was great too! Very knowledgeable and engaging.

Eagle Heights Birds of Prey Handling
What an absolutely fabulous experience. It was so exciting to be able to handle such incredible birds. There were plenty of photo opportunities and Richard was brilliant; full of information, anecdotes but above all, he was passionate about the birds. I'd LOVE to do this again and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves birds.

Fabulous experience
Great afternoon spent learning about & handling eagles. Our instructor, Kevin, was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The 2 hours went so quickly. We flew 4 different eagles all with their own personalities! Wonderful to be so close to these majestic birds. Had a lovely cup of tea and cake after and the chance to see the other birds and huskies too. Highly recommended..

A Great day to meet eagles.
As the centre opened at 1030 hours we decided to make a day of it at the centre. I thoroughly enjoyed the Eagle handling and watching the other displays that were going on through the day. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Magnificent!
Amazing afternoon getting up close and personal with at least 4 different species of eagle. Doesn't pay to be squeamish - these guys are carnivores and there's a bit of splatter going on but gosh it's worth it.. and I'm vegetarian! Really friendly and knowledgeable staff who clearly love their birds and sharing their passion with visitors of all ages. Great experience and can't recommend highly enough. Oh, and don't forget the free tea and cake afterwards - delicious!

My Eagle Handling Course.....
I read reviews of this experience before I booked the course and it was everything I was looking for and more. Chris (the instructor) was such a font of knowledge and I left the centre having a much greater understanding and respect for these beautiful birds. Additionally, all the staff on duty were so helpful and friendly - faultless. An amazing day and one that will remain in my memory for many years to come. Thank you again.

Our handler Kev made the experience both informative and enjoyable describing the breed and personality of each bird along with amusing annecdotes. At all times he explained what to do, so I felt confident and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We took home fantastic photos, videos and memories.
