Nice break
We stayed at Hallmark Llyndir in August. The hotel was very nice and clean. We had a classic room which was spacious. The breakfast was ok, with plenty to choose from. We did not eat there in the evening but opted for a local pub. Drinks a liitle expensive (par for the course though). Well equiped Gym (did not use) swimming pool ok. The hotel is only about 6 miles from Chester. We opted to use he local bus service, the bus stop was only 7 -8 walk from the he hotel, and a 20 - 25 miute journey.

Pleasant break
The hotel was next to Sefton Park and was a pleasant bus journey from Liverpool city centre. We had a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and the buses were frequent. They go to the bus station near to the main city attractions . We also discovered many pubs / eating places a short walk from the hotel in Lark Lane. There is also a Co-op there , handy for anything you might have forgotten. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the room was clean.

Mother/ daughter weekend break
We had a brilliant 2 night stay at the Best Western Queen's Hotel in Chester. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The choice for breakfast was excellent. The hotel was decorated in an interesting vintage beautiful style. The bedroom was lovely & clean, although I would have liked the window to open further with an intruder setting. The car park right next to the hotel is an absolute bonus. The beautiful city of Chester is full of cultural things to do & easy to walk to from the hotel, and easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this 2 day break to anyone.

Dated Hotel with advantage of a Spa.
Hotel good a ten minute walk into centre. Spa lovely with 15m pool nice temperature and great Jacuzzi, sauna was out of order. We were upgraded to an executive suite, sounds good doesn't it? Unfortunately it did disappoint. A family room at best, as was larger, but very dated with stained carpets and old bathroom suite in need of maintenance. Hotel restaurant, we dined on first night and the food was excellent, of a very high standard, comps to chef.

Fantastic view -room needs improvement
We were allocated room 108 in the Hallmark Carlton hotel Bournemouth Good point - panoramic sea views Bad points:- Stain on carpet Cracked sink Uneven bathroom floor Temperamental/infuriating shower Kitchen air conditioning fans situated below room Occasional loud ‘bangs’ which shook the room - thankfully they didn’t continue overnight (but then you had to deal with fan noise (see above) - but it started at 6:00 am Advertised as a four star hotel..... It needs a lot of improvement

Hallmark Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, two night stay
The hotel was very grand and elegant, staff friendly and helpful, room large and bed comfortable. Bathroom décor was a bit tired and lacking in toiletries other than shampoo and conditioner. The only problem with facilities was my wife couldn't use the broken hairdryer which we took to reception. Buffet breakfast food was good quality, only problem guests having to wait and queue at the servery for staff to replenish the hot food. The spa and pool were excellent.

Slightly let down
On arrival at the hotel, I discovered that the person who I booked through centrally over the phone had actually booked us into the wrong hotel. The hotel did manage to put this right. The 2nd night there was a party going on downstairs until 1am. I did complain and was offered to switch rooms but that would have been a bit of a hassle so late in the night. I cannot believe a hotel allows such loud noise at a time when people are supposed to be sleeping.

Not a great choice of hotel
Hallmark Bournemouth for two night break not a great experience the room although clean was on the side of the hotel overlooked by builders working on the hotel next door .Breakfast is poor second day breakfast was not available until 8.15 when clearly states 7.30 in room information, although there is bar in this hotel we waited 15 mins to be told we would have to go to next hotel as no one was available ,apart from the lovely lady who checked us in the staff are disengaged

The night from hell
Well where to start...The creaking of the floorboards outside in the corridor and the room directly above us kept us awake most of the night. The room above also decided to party until 5am so loud screaming and shouting also didn’t allow us much sleep. My side of the bed was dreadful, the dips and bumps in the mattress made it very uncomfortable. The cleanliness was adequate for what you’d expect a 3 star hotel to be like. I will never visit a hallmark hotel again.
