Your venue is steeped in golfing history, so this is the ideal afternoon of refreshment for any golfing fan who wants to surround themselves with the scent of greens and fairways without picking up a club. The Belfry has been host to more Ryder Cup matches than any other venue in the world, so you’ll be walking in the footsteps of some of golfing’s greats as you take your seat in the Brabazon Bar Lounge, named for one of The Belfry’s three golf courses.
You’ll be served a tasty selection of finger sandwiches, home-made malt loaf and tea breads, and sweet pastries along with the classic tea accompaniment of scones with cream and jam. Round things off with your choice of loose leaf teas to complement your spread.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at The Belfry you’ll visit reception before being shown through to the Brabazon Bar Lounge to take your seats for your afternoon tea.
Your tea will include sandwiches, home-made malt loaf and scones, as well as a selection of tea bread and sweet pastries. There’s a choice of loose-leaf teas to enjoy, or coffee if you’d prefer your liquid accompaniment a little stronger.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
Available seven days a week. Date restrictions including Christmas, Mother's Day and Easter Sunday will apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Tea is served from 12.00 to 17.00 daily, and you're welcome to spend up to 2 hours enjoying it.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Afternoon tea at the Belfry.
My husband and I attended an afternoon tea at the Belfry yesterday 13/13/21. We were so very impressed. We have been to many afternoon teas but this was by far the best. Everyone was so very helpful, the food and drinks were lovely. A big shout out to the waitresses that do an excellent job.

Brilliant afternoon
Fantastic place to go the selection of food was lovely and the service we received from Alison was like nothing we had received before,nothing was too much trouble.what a credit she is to the belfry would definitely recommend and I'm sure we will return at some point

Great Afternoon Tea
The Belfry afternoon tea was great. The service was fantastic and we got to have unlimited tea and try lots of different teas. I am pregnant so couldn’t have fish or raw meat and the sandwiches served where lovely. The scones were nice and warm but could be higher, and the addition of banana bread was nice. The other cakes were good and being able to take some away was good for our pudding that evening!

Staff and food both excellent
We had a lovely afternoon tea served by Ali and Jason. The quality and variation of the cakes was perfect. The gluten free bread was also tasty (which is sometimes a tall ask.). Ali and Jason were the perfect pair of helpful and attentive hosts. It was their service that would really take us back to the Belfry. Thank you guys!

birthday treat!!!
i went here with my wife for my birthday, absolutely lovely place. we went for afternoon tea for 2 and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. very nice atmosphere, fabulous food, and the venue was fantastic, staff we’re very informative and polite. if you haven’t been, i would highly recommend you get yourselves to experience this gem. 10/10 for me and ali who surved us , top man very polite and professional. keep up the good work.

Lovely afternoon
Not expecting anything much, my husband and I went along to the Belfry just because we had been given a gift of afternoon tea. What a surprise we had! We had a lovely time with excellent food, atmosphere and service. We were well looked after and everything was 'just so'. We came away feeling refreshed and relaxed thank to the staff at the belfry

A great experience at the Belfry
The afternoon tea was lovely. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were very tasty and there was a good selection. There was a choice of 11 teas or coffee. It was beautifully presented by very friendly and efficient staff.

Excellent
I bought Afternoon Tea at the Belfry for my friends 75th Birthday and I have to say we had a lovely afternoon. The tea we chose was really nice ( and I'm not really a tea drinker). The sandwiches were soon eaten and we were offered more if we want them. The cakes and scones were exceptionally nice but because we had overdosed the sandwiches couldn't manage them all so they were put in a box to take home. Anna who served us was a lovely girl and looked after us very well. Would recommend

Thouroughly enjoyable afternoon.
We had a fantastic afternoon tea...the food was absolutey delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. The waitress service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very attentive but in no way intrusive. The Brabazon Lounge is beautifully decorated with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. This was a wonderful birthday gift from my daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

So Many Cakes!!
First class hospitality! Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent selection of sandwiches and cakes, so many that we ended up taking most of the cakes home. Would highly recommend. Very good value for money.

Fab afternoon tea!
Firstly our waitress Alison was superb! She really looked after us. Continuesly checked on us, topped us up with extra sandwiches and drink and made the whole experience very pleasurable. There were sooo many cakes.... we only managed our scones and we were offered for the others to be packed to take home. On the downside, although the restaurant was comfy and buzzing with atmosphere and with the ability to people watch was great but it was abit dark. Would have preferred a more scenic view.

Perfect setting for a wonderful gift.
The whole experience was so lovely, relaxing atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was superb everything you could wish for when enjoying afternoon tea. Felt totally pampered by the end of it all. Thank you.

Excellent tea, dainty sandwiches and refills available. Delightful cakes and scones, in fact the nicest after noon tea I have had for a long time. Very pleasant environment and exceptionally pleasant staff. Would thoroughly recommend this experience.

Lovely place
We enjoyed our afternoon tea at The Belfry, however we found noise levels very high as it is such a vast room. There was little choice for the sandwiches ( already on the trays without asking for our choice , cheese and onion, cheese and ham and egg). Selection of sweets was excellent and a box available for us to take home what we couldn't eat. Large variety of drinks on offer with as many refills as required. Service was excellent.

Afternoon Tea at Belfry
Good selection of teas, cakes, scones and sandwiches. Very pleased that we could have a combination of teas and not restricted to one variety. Also very pleased with being allowed more than one plate of sandwiches. Our server was very attentive and extremely pleasant and helpful which made the experience even more enjoyable. Unfortunately we didn't catch her name but would have liked to give her a special mention.

The excellent food was unfortunately let down by poor service. They make a point of telling you that your cakes and sandwiches will be delivered first but as they like to serve your scones hot they get served when requested. We had to request them twice, and waited 20 mins for them. The room was also quite noisy as just by reception. Cakes, sandwiches and scones were lovely though.

Lovely tea with plenty of choice
Not clearly identified where to check in for our reservation. Our waiter was attentative and clearly explained what we would be having. He provided a plump cushion so i was closer to the table. A splendid selection of teas on offer. Good selection of sandwiches and and yummy cakes. Scones were served warm. Fresh pots of tea offered and extra sandwiches. Cannot fault the srevive or food. Would have been nicer if there had been windows for a view. The bar was large and not cosy.

Nice sandwiches & friendly service.
Booking was tricky: the number provided by Virgin was unobtainable so I had to contact the venue directly. On arrival the concierge pointed us to the bar where we waited & were then sent to the actual area. Disappointing that the area has no views at all. Emily who served us was great. Sandwiches were replenishable & vegetarian request was adhered to with a great choice. Cakes were pretty good Choux bun best, red velvet quite dry) but scones were disappointingly soggy. Great tea choices.
