The Slide at The ArcelorMittal Orbit with Cake and Hot Drink for Two
Overview
Take the world’s tallest and, at 178m, the world’s longest tunnel slide with admission to The Slide at the ArcelorMittal Orbit for Two. Spiral down what is also the UK’s tallest public artwork, breathing in dramatic cityscape views as you go.
During your 40 second trip, you’ll cruise at speeds of up to 15 miles per hour, weaving your way through the ArcelorMittal Orbit’s iconic loops and curves. Build up some momentum in the corkscrewing ‘bettfeder’ or ‘bedspring,’ before finishing up your run with a 50m hurtle straight back down to earth.
Having safely touched down, you can make your way over to the Last Drop opposite the ArcelorMittal Orbit for a hot drink and cake after your exhilarating slide.

Great Experience
This was such a fun experience i would reccomend if you are up in London for the day. I was brought this experience as a birthday gift and used it last saturday. The side was so much fun and isnt as scarey as some of the videos make out that you can watch of it on youtube! so dont let them put you off. The only downside is that you cannot take your own go pro to record yourself, they say you have to use theirs which is £15 which seams really expencive for a 40 second ride down the slide.

Faultless
I am confined to a wheelchair and terminally ill. The ArcelorMittal slide was on my bucket list, despite the obvious challenge of getting me on it. The staff were patient and helpful while my family loaded me up and off I went! The tea and cake afterwards was lovely to.

Fabulous fun!
We had the most perfect day when we visited the slide, the staff were really friendly and helpful, very welcoming. The slide itself is a blast, the speed twists and turns throw you up around the sides. There are great views from the top and a shop on site. The drink and cake was a nice finish to the adventure.

The Slide at The ArcelorMittal Orbit
Decided to visit viewing platform but ticket desk attendant very helpful and transferred one slide ticket to another visitor from Newcastle as he couldn’t book for that day. Satisfactory outcome all round. Lift attendant very friendly too.

Arcelormittal slide
Good day out if you include a touch of shopping at Westfield, it would of been nice to be able to take some photos from the top of the orbit but no phones allowed, you can buy the photos that the staff take but the day becomes more expensive.

Fun experience
Good fun finished by nice tea and cake. Lovely staff and very well organised. In terms of value for money, I was expecting the ride to be longer or maybe a couple of rides per person for the price would make more sense. All in all, a good experience.

Worth it!
My work colleagues bought me this experience as a leaving gift and I attended with my partner. They did cancel on us on two occasions on the same day, so I guess this happens a lot. The Arcelormittal Orbit is lasts only 40 seconds but is great fun if you like sliding down a tunnel at great speed! We ended our experience with cake and coffee at the café.

Good day out
This is a good day out. The slide is great , easy to get to & the staff at the Mittal are great. Mix it up with retail therapy @ Stratford Westfields for a full day out. Only thing I would advise is to print your voucher, otherwise you need to email the voucher to them at the check in desk & that’s a pain

Slide was great fun!
The Orbit is easily accessible from central London and the slide is great fun! The staff were not the most informative at check in about where to go and the timings of the experience but still well worthwhile!

It was great that you can go bakc up and take photos just shame it was a cloudy wet day when we went up but still amazing views afterwards heading over forgot drink and cake the staff there are very friendly and welcoming cake was very good . Great slide experience with cake & hot drink
Nice experience on the slide and some great views at the top. You do need to book in advance which we didn’t realise and turned up on the day and they couldn’t take us. The day we did go was a good experience and the slide was enjoyable for the 40 seconds it lasted :) The cake & hot drink included was okay but there wasn’t much choice of cakes (3 different ones) and the banana bread was nice but not the biggest. The chocolate cake was nice but a bit dry :) overall a good experience

Interesting experience
The View from the viewing platform was great and the experience of the slide was also good. Rather disappointed to discover the cafe was closed to the public because of a private function. We were given take away coffee and cake and had to eat this outside in the freezing cold! That was not good!

Ride of my life
The slide was fantastic, quite an experience indeed. The coffe and cake afterwards was a bit of a disappointment though as it was at a venue which resembled a pub more than a coffee shop.

A fun experience
The slide is very good, Its exhilarating, fun, fast with lots of twists and turns in and out of darkness. However it is very brief. The views over london are good, but not breathtaking and we made the mistake going on an event day at the stadium, where the cafe takes the decision not to serve cake (which our experience included. It was quickly resolved by the cafe management, but it wasn’t ideal and wished we knew this in advance.

Slide- Scary! Cake- Ace!
Had no idea what to expect! Staff weren’t that helpful when we got to slide so had to work out how it worked and how to get up etc. Slide itself was fun, you go in a sack thing and hold on for dear life! Much faster than I thought it would be. No problem with the height at all but I am a little claustrophobic and the slide looks quite narrow so that scared me! Plus half of the slide is in the dark so adds to the enclosed space gear! But really it was great! Cake in the terrace bar opposite too!

Loved the thrill of the slide
The slide is brilliant and I would do that again, but would go direct through the company website and not pay the extra for a Virgin Experience. The hot drink and cake is at The Last Drop cafe nearby in the park and the service was incredibly slow (basically understaffed) and my husband was told to keep his teabag in as it was very weak. When they are charging £2 for a cup of tea, they shouldn't be buying cheap teabags! Also have to queue to exchange voucher for tickets and that was too slow

Fun, but...
Okay, so the slide itself (as in the structure) is an eyesore - I realise the designer is famous, but in my view it's just ugly. The slide itself was fun, but it's a 40 second experience, so pretty expensive. The staff were professional and courteous and the whole thing was very health and safety focused (elbow pads, soft headgear!) which meant the lead up time far exceeded the actual time spent on the slide. Glad I have done it, but wouldn't do it again

Great experience - shame about the yea and cake
Going on the slide was really good. Unfortunately the place where we were supposed to have tea and cake was a bar that was filled with football supporters. It was not good tea and cake and not relaxing surroundings. I would go on the slide again but just not bother with the experience with the tea and cake

Great Experience....But
The experience was great but the option for skyline views was completely missed as we was just directed to slide only!!!! (DISAPPOINTED) Also the cost for a 40 second clip on the hire of the GoPro was very unreasonable, £15 pp, There was photo opportunity's (twice) but no info on cost and staff was lacking in info to questions.. the cake option was extremely lacking (however the staff in the cafe was great and offered 2 items as an alternative "Fruit & Popcorn" as the dairy free alternative

Great slide... long wait!
Really enjoyed the slide and cake after was great!! Only issue was that we were booked in for 12:00 and we finally got to ride the slide at 13:45 due to the queue being so long which really impacted our experience negatively. Hopefully they come up with a better system in future.

Weather problems made slide slow....
We had a fun day but there were some problems. Our time was 3pm but on arrival were told the slide had shut for maintenance and to expect 25min delay. After more delays we got on at about 4:30pm. We were told the slide had been slow due to condensation but that it had sped up after maintenance. However both of us found the slide slow and when we finished the slide we were trapped in the bottom of the slide and had to shuffle about 10m or so to get out which shows how slow it was. Will complain.

Great experience, poor management
The experience itself was great and i would recommend to friends, however the organisation and management was terrible. We had problems at the front deak when showing our booking ref and the staff where not very helpful. We turned up well before our booked time however had to wait in a queue for atleast 45mins before going down the slide. We were stopped at the front of the queue to let other people further back jump infront as there booked time was before ours. Poorly organised and run.

Underwhelming
Advertised as Tea and Cake at the Orbital which would suggest you had tea and cake whilst looking out over the view. However you go up come back down the slide then can go back up to look at the view and then walk down to have your tea and cake in the café at the bottom.
